Robert L.B. Tobin Land Bridge |
Land Bridge completed in December, 2020
![]() The Approach to the Tobin Land Bridge. ![]() Approaching the Land Bridge. The bridge has two walls (one pictured). ![]() Here you can see both walls. That's Doris walking up to it. The bridge is quite wide. A Hardberger Park person said that the landscape has to grow in. (Hey, at the time of this picture, they had just completed the work on the bridge four months ago -- in the winter.) ![]() Doris taking a photo of the edge of the land bridge ![]() Traffic on Wurbach Road below the bridge ![]() Here you can see the outside face of the bridge |
![]() Better shot of the opening under the bridge ![]() Bikers coming down the top of the bridge. Technically, the bikers were supposed to walk their bikes over the bridge, not ride them. ![]() People walking up to the bridge ![]() People on the other side of the bridge. ![]() One of the shelters/wildlife observation sites along the top of the bridge. ![]() Walkway for people in wheelchairs, etc. This makes the bridge approach accessible. This walkway was not open in March. They were waiting for a part from Europe. It should have opened in April. Now for something completely different. In Feb. 2021, they, like most of Texas had snow. Here's some photos from Phil Harberger Park itself Monday, Feb. 15, 2021: Click here for snow in the park photos. Photographers Jean Hackett and Mike Farquhar shared their images from the park. |
